CarriEarl a Bahamian Paradise with a British twist
White sands with emerald seas
CarriEarl

CarriEarl is now a Boutique Hotel and was originally the Great Harbour Cay holiday retreat of “Mr. Celebrity”, Earl Blackwell, founder of the Celebrity Register and his friend and companion, the diminutive Eugenia Sheppard, who was the fashion and women’s editor of the New York Herald-Tribune.
They wrote three romantic novels in the house and many of the second home owners and local people still have very fond memories of them both. In the 1970’s Earl and Eugenia encouraged their rich and famous friends such as Douglas Fairbanks Junior, Margot Fonteyn, Bridget Bardot, Brooke Shields and her parents along with many others to visit Great Harbour Cay and to purchase property on the Island.

Over the last five years "CarriEarl" has been lovingly renovated to a high standard and offers guests a peaceful, relaxed setting with fine cuisine and friendly English hospitality "CarriEarl" is set in secluded grounds on the East side of the Island one mile north of the Airport and overlooks the ocean.
Beach forever

A minute’s stroll down a winding path leads to Great Harbour Cay’s five mile white sandy beach where you will hardly ever see anyone else. Take a beach chair down to the waters edge and dip your feet in the surf.
